We
traveled back in time and toured in around Ford
Island, via the COMPACFLT Admiral's Remembrance
Barge Tour. This tour covered the background
history on Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. After
a very informative pre-brief, we set sail around
Ford Island and visited sites of the historic 7
Dec 1941 attacks, culminating with a solemn
visit to the USS Arizona Memorial site.

25 Apr 2008

Kanaloa marched for babies again this year. We
had 10 walkers collectively raise $1,413. Was a
nice sunny morning for a walk, all had a great

children's' lives.

BG
Richardson moved our audience with a Power Point
Free (hoo-ah!) overview of PACOM's logistics'
make-up. His colorful brief was pretty darned
informative and he gave us an excellent angle on
"Effectiveness and Efficiency". While
PACOM J4 was our featured topic, we were also
excited to have Col Wilson (PACAF/A4D)make his
encore visit with the chapter to bid us
farewell.
LOA Breakfast

Mr.
Aimone took some time out to visit us with his
traveling entourage and led a very interesting
open forum covering subjects that included:
current AF events, accountability, EAF logistics
support issues, the nuclear enterprise,
logistics processes, weapons systems service
life and a couple of other topics. A very
very nice exchange of thoughts.
We
provided a family of 7 a great Christmas this
year. They received almost everything on
their need list; over $1400 in gifts; $200 for
groceries; and we even had three bicycles
donated to add to the surprise. Wow, you
get excited just thinking
about it.
LM's
Lightning II traveling demonstration team offered us another
outstanding opportunity to fly their computer
simulator. Afterwards, we were briefed on
the program's logistics and presented a
significant donation
towards our local scholarship campaign.
We
soared to Columbus for yet another eventful
conference. This year's theme was most
timely. Leading the Material Enterprise.
